Caasi is one of London's most sought-after bellydancers - she started her career as a professional contemporary dancer before being lured into the sparkly and exotic world of bellydance. She now predominantly performs at parties, weddings and corporate events, and has appeared on BBC and MTV television and in pop videos and adverts.
Caasi is an elegant and exciting dancer who has been described as dynamic, vibrant and sensual. Her great passion is exploring and expressing the huge diversity of Arabic music and styles with integrity and artistry, but she also loves to experiment with props like fanveils, zills and her trusty sword! Her aim is always to delight and entertain her audiences, which she does with cheekiness and style in equal measure. Authenticity and good technique are of the utmost importance to Caasi and her performances are always tasteful and artistic as well as being highly entertaining.
Caasi has danced at many high profile events including the Virgin Media launch party and the Watch This Space Festival at the National Theatre, and has performed for many celebrities including Boy George, Simon LeBon and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones. She is also very proud to have been crowned 2nd place winner of The Miss Bellydance UK 2011 competition. In 2014 Caasi became the first dancer in the UK to be awarded a diploma in bellydance performance. More recently Caasi performed with Hipnotix as part of Air Emirate's Go East Festival, touring Britain throughout the summer of 2015. She will also be appearing as a principal dancer in Ozgen's renowned show Ask-Love in Autumn 2015.
In April 2013, Caasi was invited to join the Company of Dreams as a principal dancer and will be touring internationally throughout 2015/2016 - for more information please visit www.dreamsoftheorient.co.uk
